Mark has over 35 years of experience in financial and energy markets.

After a post university hiatus playing rugby in France and Australia he cut his teeth in f/x markets in the City, followed by jobs in Dusseldorf and Frankfurt. With the advent of the Euro he moved into the nascent energy markets which is where he first crossed paths with our Chairman Sohail Sultan through a mutual friend. Subsequently he was involved in the purchase of a South Wales power station, backed by private equity, and spent time in Istanbul working closely with the regulator on a variety of energy projects.

Mark arrived in the Bahamas in October 2019 and has worked with a core team since then setting up the iib Bahamas entity.

Mark has an MA Hons in Economic History from the University of Dundee.
