The international investment bank S.A. (iibCV) held the 3rd Edition of its “Business Breakfast iib”, at the Hotel Trópico, this morning, May 10, 2024. The highlight of this edition was Financial Stability in the Banking Sector, a pertinent and always current topic.

We did so, as usual, with the participation of distinguished guests, partners and stakeholders, whose contributions we highly value. The event was attended by Dr. José Galvão Baptista, Senior Economist at the Bank of Cape Verde, who shared perspectives on Financial Stability in the Banking Sector in Cape Verde, allowing those present to have visibility on the economy, as well as the state of the national banking sector.

Of note was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between iibCV and the Professional Association of Microfinance Institutions of Cape Verde, in the act represented by the Chairman of the Board of Directors Mr. Francisco Tavares.

The event had several moments of sharing and emotions, of which the delivery, in a “surprise moment”, of a special toast to the outgoing Executive Committee, in the presence of CEO Francisco Ferreira and CFO José Soares, as a sign of gratitude for their contribution to the appreciation and recognition of iibCV and its people. To the recipients, thank you for your dedication, teachings and commitment!

At the same time, the presentation of the new Executive Committee was made, represented by Manuel Fernandes and Aicha Correia.

The year 2023 was an exercise of excellence for the iibCV:
It recorded a significant growth in the balance sheet, without incorporating a significant increase in risk-weighted assets, increased the profitability of the operation significantly, having been the best year in terms of results, and with efficiency, profitability and solvency indicators reflecting a meritoriously sound operating structure.

2023 marks the third consecutive year in which iibCV achieves the best performance in its history, reflected in its results and achievements!!

The iibCV did it differently, to make a difference!
