Vianney is a seasoned banking and financial services executive with over 21 years of experience across Retail, SMEs/MSMEs, Corporate, and Investment banking in East Africa.

He has built a distinguished career marked by progressive leadership, advancing from frontline banking roles to senior executive positions, including Head of Corporate Banking and Executive Committee Member at Ecobank Rwanda Plc. During his tenure at Ecobank Rwanda, Vianney played a central role in the bank’s transformation, contributing to a turnaround from a loss position in 2017 to strong profitability by 2025, while significantly expanding the balance sheet and strengthening asset quality. From 2018 to 2025, he served as a principal advisor and de facto deputy to the Managing Director, playing a key role in strategic leadership, decision-making, and execution throughout this transformation period. He brings deep expertise in credit structuring, project finance, trade finance, and risk management, with a proven ability to drive sustainable portfolio growth and optimize risk–return outcomes. Over the course of his career, he has held senior leadership roles at Cogebanque Ltd (now part of Equity Group Holdings), Banque Populaire du Rwanda (now part of KCB Group), and I&M Bank (Rwanda) Plc, where he consistently delivered strong business growth, improved portfolio performance, and led high-performing teams. He is widely recognized for his strategic thinking, disciplined risk governance, and results-oriented leadership in complex and multicultural environments. He also currently serves as a Non-Executive Director at Legacy Hospital in Kigali.

Vianney holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting and Finance. He is fluent in English and French, has working knowledge of Swahili, and is a native speaker of Kinyarwanda.

Nasir Abdi is a seasoned banking professional with more than 13 years of experience in commercial, business development, credit analysis, and customer relationship management.

His previous roles include four years at Bank of Africa Mer Rouge and Exim Bank Djibouti, where he excelled in tasks from banking branch management to relationship management.

Nasir holds a Master’s Degree in Banking and Finance and completed a Financial Performance course at the International Business Management Institute in Berlin, an Executive Diploma in Management Accounting at UNIATHENA, and an Online Executive Certificate in Corporate Finance from EDHEC.

Neima has over 26 years of experience in the banking sector with an expertise in compliance, financial controls and operations.

She has held senior positions with some of the largest banks in Djibouti, as Chief Financial Officer, Chief Compliance Officer, and Director of the Business Continuity Plan. She was Chief Financial Officer of the Sovereign Wealth Fund of Djibouti as well as acting Chief Executive Officer before joining iib East Africa as Chief Operating Officer.

Neima holds a Masters Degree in Economics from University of Le Mans, a Masters Degree in Management Control, Accountancy, and Financial Management from INTEC-CNAM Paris as well as a degree from the Institute of Banking Techniques in Paris.

Aynalem brings over 21 years of experience in the banking and financial sector, with expertise in leadership, relationship management, and strategic planning.

Aynalem previously served as Resident Representative Manager at EXIM Bank Djibouti S.A. in Addis Ababa, where she successfully grew the client base, increased revenue, and made the office profitable from its first year. She has also held several senior roles at the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia, focusing on financial institution relationships, strategic planning, and executive support to senior leadership. Aynalem has extensive experience in building partnerships with local and international stakeholders, negotiating agreements, and driving organizational growth.

Aynalem holds an M.Sc. in Project Planning and Management from Debre Markos University and a B.A. in English with a minor in Political Science and International Relations from Addis Ababa University.

Linda has over 22 years of experience in the banking and legal sectors.

She has held several positions in different local companies such as MEGA BUREAUTIQUE, Djibouti Telecom, Massida Transit, and COSMEZZ. She joined the former ICB Bank in 2008 in the customer service department and now works at iib as a Recovery Manager. She has been instrumental in the development and improvement of the bank’s recovery system, implementing strategies to enhance debt collection efficiency and minimize financial risks. Her expertise in risk assessment and negotiation has contributed significantly to strengthening the bank’s overall credit management framework.

Linda holds a technical degree in Assistant Management from the University of Djibouti.

Stanli is a seasoned Information Technology professional with 11 years of experience in the banking sector in Africa, specializing in the development, implementation, and support of core banking solutions.

He has held key roles such as Banking Application Support Head and Core Banking Web Application Developer, specializing in Oracle and ASP.NET at Zenith Infotech Bangalore. Additionally, he collaborated with two prominent banking software providers in India to implement core banking solutions. As the Head of IT, he played a major role in Finacle and RTGS and ACP/ACH clearing house project implementation in Sierra Leone and Gambia.

Stanli holds a Higher Diploma in Software Engineering.

Hamda has over 11 years of experience in the banking sector with an expertise in customer relationship management.

She began her career in the former ICB Bank, where she held various positions in departments such as cash management, marketing, and administration. Her versatility enabled her to reach the position of Senior Relationship Manager. With a deep understanding of financial operations and client relationship management, she has successfully led strategic initiatives to enhance customer engagement and portfolio growth.

She holds a Degree in Business Administration from the University of Djibouti.
